If you were to plop me down in the middle of a bookstore and tell me I could only read from one genre for the rest of my life, I march right over to the biography/memoir section. I love, love, love reading the stories of other people’s lives; especially accounts of those on spiritual journeys.

After my Stephen King phase in my late teens/early 20s, I lost interest in novels and read only a few of them until about five years ago.  I now enjoy novels very much if I can find stories that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to be caught reading.  Other than Frank Peretti’s works, I haven’t had the courage to delve into Christian fiction. I don’t like to waste my time on “Christianity Lite” stuff that has a cliché firmly embedded in every paragrah (I’m always open to suggestions!)

I like to read travel memoirs, biographies, current events/issues in society; theology, Christian living, history of specific places or things. I also like to indulge in Young Adult books on occasion, such as the delightful Shoe Books by Noel Streatfeild. Books about books, reading, and writing are also very enjoyable. So many books; so little time!

I had a couple years of reading posted here, but decided to erase the board and begin again. I love a clean page; makes me want to fill it up.
